Wedding!
The wedding itself will be held on March 23, 2013 at the Burke Museum, located on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. There will be some parking available, but if you are staying at the Silver Cloud Inn (or any of the hotels in the U-district that have shuttle services) we encourage you to use the hotel shuttle as there will be limited space available.
Please plan to arrive around 6pm. We'll have good food, some dancing, and all kinds of adventures after the ceremony.
Hotels
Reservations have been made at the Silver Cloud Inn in the University District - you can get a special rate if you say you are with the Robinson/Rombokas wedding. However, there are tons of hotels in the U-district - please email either one of us if you'd like more suggestions for where to stay.
Fun stuff!
Yeah, the most fun thing will be the wedding (!) but there are lots of other fun things to do and see in Seattle during your visit! Here are a few of our favorite places in town:
You can go on a tour of the Theo Chocolate Factory (reservations required), visit Seattle's famous Pike Place Market, explore the history of Seattle on an Underground Tour (our favorite!), visit the Experience Music Project (EMP) museum (which includes the Science Fiction Museum!) and go to the top of the Space Needle. Get a feels for some of Seattle's artsier neighborhoods in Fremont - visit the Fremont Troll! - or rent/borrow some bikes and go on the Burke Gilman trail.
There's something for everyone and we'd be happy to give you more suggestions too!
Just a clarification on Theo's: reservations required for tours but none required to check out their tasting room/shop, which is also lots of fun (and includes enough samples of good chocolate to make you sick for hours).
